Ukraine. Drug sale in Ukraine: pricing
According to the resolution of the CMU # 955 dd 17.10.2008 «On measures regarding stabilization prices for drugs and medical products» for drugs and medical products included in the National List of Essential Drugs and Medical Products (with the exception of narcotics, psychoactive drugs, precursors and medical gases), there have been established mandatory supply and sales markups which shall not exceed 12 percent of wholesale price and boundary trade (retail) markups which shall not exceed 25 percent of the purchase price.
The National List of Essential Drugs and Medical Products has been approved by the Resolution of CMU # 333 dd 25.03.2009. For exhaustive drugs and medical products (with the exception of drugs, psychoactive drugs, precursors and medical gases) which are fully or partially purchased with state funding, there have been established boundary supply and sales markups which shall not exceed 10 percent of wholesale price and boundary trade (retail) markups which shall not exceed 10 percent of the procurement price.
The list of drugs of domestic and foreign manufacture, which can be purchased by health care institutions and establishments fully or partially financed out of state and local budgets, has been established by the Resolution of CMU # 1071 dd 05.09.1996. Prices for drugs and medical products of domestic manufacture, with the wholesale price not exceeding 12 UAH per package, are not subject to state regulation, except for those purchased with state funding.
