Azerbaijan. Health Ministry starts monitoring over medicines

Azerbaijan suspends importing the pharmaceuticals which don’t have the product insert in Azerbaijani language, chief of Health Ministry’s Center for Analytic Examination of Medicines Parviz Azizbayov reported.

According to him, the companies importing the medicines were warned and time was set on it: “The time set for the companies expires today. The control over the product inserts of the pharmaceuticals imported in Azerbaijan is tightened starting with today. The import of the pharmaceuticals without product insert in Azerbaijani language will stop starting with June 1”.

Azizbayov said that most of companies changed the product inserts.

He said that the monitoring will be conducted in the medicine market on the abovementioned issue: “The product inserts of all pharmaceuticals in Azerbaijan must be in Azerbaijani language. The ban has come into force today, the monitoring will be conducted in the near future for learning the situation in the pharmacies”.
