Ukraine. Amendments to the State Regulation of Prices for Hypertensive Medicines

On 9 April 2014 the MHU approved Order No. 257 “On Amendments to Order of the Ministry of Healthcare of Ukraine No.419 dated 1 June 2012” (“Order No.257”).



Order No.257 amends the Register of Marginal Wholesale Prices and Comparative (Referent) Prices for Treatment of Persons Suffering from Hypertensive Disease (the “Register”).

In particular, 18 names of medicines with outdated registration certificates were excluded from the Register. Given that the above Orders do not factor the introduction of 7% VAT and significant devaluation of Ukrainian hryvna in 2014 it is likely that the wholesale prices declaration process and the Register itself will be amended shortly.
