Ukraine. Prevention and Treatment of Orphan Diseases

On 26 April 2014 the Law of Ukraine “On Amendments to the Basics of Ukrainian Healthcare Legislation on the Prevention and Treatment of Rare (Orphan) Diseases” (“Law”) came into force.



According to the Law, the patients with rare (orphan) diseases should be provided with medicines and nutritional products for special diet, according to the list and in the amount approved by the MHU under the procedure established by the CMU.
