Ukraine. Reduction of Financing of the Ukrainian Healthcare System
On 3 April 2014 Law of Ukraine No.1165-VII dated 27 March 2014 “On Amendments to the Law “On
the State Budget” (“Law No. 1165-VII”) became effective.
Among other, Law No. 1165-VII reduces the State Budget expenditure for financing of the healthcare system from UAH 10.08 billion to UAH 8.66 billion in 2014, including:

Among other, Law No. 1165-VII reduces the State Budget expenditure for financing of the healthcare system from UAH 10.08 billion to UAH 8.66 billion in 2014, including:
- subventions from the State Budget to local budgets for partial reimbursement of Hypertensive medicines are reduced by 27.5%;
- subventions to the Crimean and Sevastopol budgets are cancelled;
- subventions for purchase of inhalation anesthesia medicines are reduced by 90.5%;
- subventions for purchase of the first aid medicines and medical products are reduced by 57.3%.
